10th Annual Conference for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer

The Annual Conference for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer is the only international event focused on the unique needs and issues faced by women diagnosed before age 45. Created by young women for young women and their caregivers, the conference has grown to one of the largest meetings in the world for women with a history of breast cancer!

Wow..... I'm still flying high from all the supercharged energy from the conference. This was my first major breast cancer related event since my diagnosis in 2007. I was nervous and anxious about attending.  I didn't know too many people going into it and I was hesitant about feeling like a "loner".   Boy, was I wrong. I met so many amazing women and I rekindled a few relationships too.

I'm so glad that I went. Just being one of hundreds made me feel validated. I didn't feel ashamed to be young and a cancer patient. I felt comfortable and it felt good. I was surrounded by young women in different stages of their treatment. It was empowering. I wanted to high five everyone. I wanted to scream, "WE CAN DO THIS!"

I'm feeling....
STRONG
INSPIRED
DETERMINED
HEALTHY
COMFORTABLE
POWERFUL
PROSPEROUS
DEDICATED
DISCIPLINED
